I was in bed on Thursday night trying to get a lot of sleep because I was not feeling well. I was just about to fall asleep when the fire alarm rang. It startled me, but I did not jump out of bed. There have been a couple of times before when it went off when it was not suppose to, and it usually stopped within two or three minutes. This time the alarm probably went off for close to ten minutes. The alarm was blaring, the lights were flashing through my window. And then I immediately thought about my Burning House submission. ”Is it time to start collecting all the stuff I said I would save? Is my apartment really on fire?”
